School Development Plan
Each year, our school prepares a development plan with input from teachers, school staff, students and parents. We review many sources of data, including report cards, provincial achievement test results and school surveys. Based on this information, we create our plan identifying targeted areas for growth. Our school development plan is not meant to represent all the work that goes on in our school, but rather focuses on specific areas for improvement.

Meet Our Kindergarten Team
Mrs. Ernst
My name is Amber Ernst and I am very excited to be a part of the Le Roi Daniels Kindergarten team again this year. I look forward to teaching your children and learning from them as they embark on their educational journey. Over the last decade, I have been very fortunate to have gained experience working with many different ages and ranges of students. I graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (in Developmental Art/Visual Studies) and a Bachelor of Education Degree in Elementary Education from the University of Calgary. Before, during and after my degrees I worked and volunteered in both school and community based programs such as Mount Royal College Kids Camps, University School Week (Campus Calgary/Open Minds), The Glenbow Museum, The Cerebral Palsy Association of Southern Alberta and more. I love art and try to incorporate it into my teaching as much as possible. I also believe in the importance of teaching kindness, compassion and empathy to create a climate of fairness and respect where all students feel safe and accepted. I was born and raised in Calgary. During my spare time I enjoy painting, drawing, swimming and spending time hiking and skiing in the mountains with my husband Jonathan. This is my third year teaching Kindergarten at Le Roi Daniels and I am so happy to continue to be part of such a wonderful school! Please feel free to contact me at [email protected] if you have any questions or concerns. Mrs. Amber Ernst |
Mrs. Mancini
My name is Shauna Mancini and I am excited to be back teaching Kindergarten with my amazing team at Le Roi Daniels Elementary. I love being involved with our littlest learners in the school and can't wait to learn all about the students in my class this year. I have been teaching Kindergarten at Le Roi Daniels for the past 13 years and am very fortunate to have worked with amazing staff, students and parents over the years. I graduated from the University of Calgary with both a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Psychology and a Degree in Education specializing in Early Childhood Education. My passion is working with early learners because of their joy and excitement for learning. I was born and raised in Calgary. I enjoy baking, crafting, shopping, celebrating holidays and spending time with my husband and three beautiful children. My family is a very important part of my life. I look forward to working with you in helping your child experience a successful year of learning in the TLC Kindergarten Program. The growth you see in your child over the school year will truly amaze you. We have lots of fun activities and learning opportunities planned. Please feel free to contact me through email if you have any questions or concerns at [email protected]. Mrs. Mancini |
